Today, we went to a very dangerous area of Cité Soleil called “Truttier.” We had to call on five local Haitian Police, in addition to two private and a local securities company. We distributed 71,280 meals today. Some of the moms told us that they would “die” without this food… it is so important to them.

We watched as mothers loaded heavy sacks of food on their heads, and walked across the muddy street. People without Food Cards were digging in the dump for food! It brought tears to our eyes.
