“Remembering  Jackson.”

Today, with sorrow, we are making plans for Jackson’s funeral.  This is “especially important,” here in Haiti. There will be a church service tomorrow to remember him. His casket will be there so that everyone can say “goodbye.” Even though our hearts are heavy, we all know that he has “already gone home!”

Jackson has always been a sweet and inquisitive kid. We are sure that he is happy in Heaven, asking questions, enjoying the beauty, and being “in the presence of Jesus!” His most valuable possession was his Haitian Bible! Tonight is the “wake!” We wish to thank our partners who have been praying for Jackson, and especially, thank you, Jesse Ostrander, who has literally “carried Jackson on his back for years,” up and down stairs, and taking him to doctors’ appointments, hospitals, and much, much more! Thank you to a very special family who stood by us financially and would have paid for Jackson’s kidney transplant. They have gone the extra mile. Jackson is now with Jesus!
