Future Nurse!

Little Rachael Louis was born on November 15, 2010. Her mother already had four children. Her real mother called her Nazalie. She could not afford to buy milk for her baby, so she asked us to take her in.

As she grew, she had skin problems that affected her scalp. We had to cut off all her hair and shave her bald! She had developed a severe head infection! This lasted several years! The infection finally left after we figured up a concoction of lard, yellow sulfur powder, and antibiotics!

Today, she is tiny, but she is now 13 and in 8th grade! She has “chores” to do each day but never complains! She helps iron, clean, and mop! She wants to be a nurse! And, we decided to call her “Rachael,” because the name fits her better! Thank you, partners, for making a difference.
