Rodna Joseph was born on May 27, 2010. When her mother died, her father had no way of caring for her. Her father had to borrow money for her mother’s funeral.
The man he borrowed the money from, took all her brothers and sisters as “hostages,” for the loan for the funeral until it was paid off. When we heard about this, we paid the ransom and Rodna was sent to live with us. We do not know what happened to the other children. Rodna had been suffering from malnutrition and she was very frail! But soon, with lots of love and special care, she got better.
She is 14 and says she wants to be a nurse. She does well in school and is so sweet and lovable! She can’t really decide what she wants to be, but for now, she wants to be a nurse. She leads the children’s service at the Orphanage each night! She is a member of the Praise Dance Team! We all love Rodna!
