Anyone who knows George, one of our Love A Child kids, knows that we have had him since he was first born. He has always been kind and obedient. He is one of our two boys who is always on the “front-end loader,” or any type of large equipment.

He has had a “sweetie,” Augusmene, for two years, and he has been saving his money along with ours for the “big day.” Yesterday, all his friends and family, along with the bride’s family, joined together for the big wedding. Everyone had saved their money to have their suits made, etc. There were many, many friends who came from both sides of the family and it was an extremely joyous day for everyone, especially Bobby and I.

There were several Haitian Pastors who attended, and relatives on both sides signed the “legal marriage book!” Then, it was time for the “big kiss!” Bobby always teases George, who is very shy. His words were, “George, when, it’s time for the kiss, lay one on her!” He did! Several times, and the last time, he held her in his arms and tipped her, and the church group laughed, clapped, and went wild! A kiss in public is a major thing here in Haiti. Everyone was so, so happy! George and his bride are spending a few days at a little motel/restaurant here in Fond Parisien. (The roads near here are so dangerous and they cannot go far).
