It was a wonderful day for the people in the mountains of Peyi Pouri and several other villages in the Ganthier area including: Madamn Bauje, Dame Marie and La Roche. All the people met in the rocky riverbed where we sent another truckload of tin, wood, nails, and other items needed to repair their houses that were crushed by Hurricane Matthew. We want to thank our partners who provided the funds for this and we also want to thank Mayor Polynice, who did a great job organizing this disaster relief effort and making sure it went to those who needed it the most. As the day closed, poor families were seen carrying sheets of tin and wood and bags of nails on their head, up the road to the mountains, disappearing in the distance, to their crumpled homes.
