Little Ginyia is “up with the chickens,” spraying and disinfecting the railings of our children’s home. Other children have other jobs, but Ginyia knows what she is supposed to do and does a good job. This little sweetie lost her mother during a C-Section because her mother was not in any type of Birthing Center or good Hospital. All we know is that her mother died giving birth to her and her father immediately left for the Dominican Republic. When he did not return, her 17-year-old cousin tried to care for her, but caring for a new baby with no money for milk or diapers is very discouraging, especially when her cousin should have been in school. She finally brought her to the Social Services Department and they brought her to us and asked us to keep her. Of course, we said, “Yes!” Ginyia is a very intelligent little girl at the age of 10. She is a good student, a hard worker and she is on the Praise Dance Team and doesn’t miss a beat!!! The dances are very complicated, but Ginyia is always “in step.” She will go far! We love Ginyia! What a sweetie!
