“Alms giving” is different than “tithing, or giving offerings.” It is a special gift to God for the poor. The Lord spoke unto a devout man named Cornelius and said, “Thy prayer is heard and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.” Acts 10:31 — When we give to the poor, great blessings come upon us!
