We wish you a happy 4th of July, Independence Day.
In 1776 brave men signed the Declaration of Independence. “The mood in the room was far from celebratory. Everyone was aware of what they were undertaking. It was high treason against the British Crown that could cost each man his life.”
Each brave man believed they were signing their own death warrants. The independent congress wanted our freedom from England! The President of Congress, John Hancock, signed first with the biggest signature on the declaration.
Famous men like Thomas Jefferson and John Adams also signed, who several years later both died on the same day, the fourth of July 1826. God bless all the men and women who have died for our independence through time. We honor all these great men and their families. God bless oh glory, red, white, and blue! Our American flag!
I wonder what our forefathers who served God would think now if they knew how some treated our flag with disrespect? God bless America.
