When Rodna’s mother died, there was no money for the funeral. Her father had to borrow money for the funeral, but did not have the money to pay it back. So, that man held all the siblings hostage, until the money could be paid. “We” paid the money back, but the kidnappers never returned the rest of the children, and no one knew where they were!

Rodna was left behind and suffered from malnutrition, so he brought her to our orphanage. With good care and plenty of love, she recovered! She is now 14 years old and wants to be a professional cook! She still loves “jump rope,” running, and cooking!
