As you may know, we share our food with many organizations each month. Most of these groups are missionaries who work like we do to feed starving children each day. The Dominican Republic has begun to deport Haitians who are there illegally. Many Haitians work in the sugar cane fields and have children that do not have birth certificates from either country. Most of these children can only speak Spanish. Now, they are coming back to Haiti with no jobs, no place to live…and no food. This family with a malnourished child was one of the families living in the Dominican Republic “illegally.” One of our missionary friends shared some food with them. Haiti is truly in a food crisis.
