Hannah Jean Jules was born in the mountains of Demesseau, Haiti… far from us. (This was just one of the mountain areas we worked in years ago, building a school and church.) Her mother died shortly after childbirth and she was brought to us by a mountain pastor named “Pastor Emmanuel.” She had poor health and malnutrition. It took a while for her to get to her normal weight.
Hanna loves to sing! She also loves playing with her brothers and sisters. She recently finished her 13th year of school called Philo. (This year is very difficult to get through but Hannah did it!) Her dream is to be a doctor but unfortunately, the gangs are between us and college.
Hannah is calm and waiting on the Lord, each day. As soon as the gangs are cleared away from the town of Ganthier, eight miles away, we may be able to send Hannah to college. In the meantime, the Bible says, “I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.” – Phil. 4:11
“Hang in there, Hannah! God still has everything under control!”
