Today is Jean Edwouard’s birthday! He is 19 and in 11th grade. He is one of the brightest students in his class! He works on the painting team and has a lot of talent! He wants to be a “tailor!” He had been going to a special school in Croix des Bouquet but due to the mobs and the Papaya Gang, the school shut down “until further notice!”

Jean Edwouard loves soccer, basketball, and sports in general! But, he especially loves and protects all his “sisters” here at Love A Child!! He is sweet, kind, patient and, he is “good looking!” He is humble and loves everyone!

We found Jean Edwouard when we were in the village of Old Letant. He was a restavek slave child, cooking for a large family. I watched this tiny little boy go and carry back a huge bucket of water on his head and then, began to cook for a large family, over an open fire, (that he had made). I knew his aunt and asked that we take him home with us and she agreed! It has been a joy to raise him and we pray that he stays with Jesus and keeps on the path to his career!!!
