“And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,…” Matthew 5:1-2
This is where Jesus gave the “Beatitudes,” He talked about loving your enemies, and not doing things “in front of men” to be seen; He taught us how to pray and how to “let our light shine” in a dark world… He let us know that He has placed us here as “lights” and as the “salt” of the earth! He taught us how to “seek the Kingdom of God,” first, before all things…
Then He said, “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.” Matthew 6:34
We are about to enter a New Year. Many people, especially Christians, are worried about what will happen in the next four years. If Jesus were to stand up in your Church and talk, He would say, “Don’t even think about tomorrow! You don’t need to worry about it. I have it covered! I already have my things in place. I have already made provision for my children, so I don’t want you to worry.” Don’t even think about it! “Don’t worry about it!”
God has allowed us to live another day, another year! Let’s look forward to “what God is going is do,” and how “Jesus will put Satan under His feet!”
Let’s start thanking and praising God ahead of time, for all the good things He is going to do for us, and “Let’s not even worry about tomorrow!”
