This is one of our older boys, Jonas. He turned 20, and we are so proud of him. Jonas helps us so much with “food distributions” and much more. He loves soccer!!
Years ago, we had a Mobile Medical Clinic in the mountains of Demesseau, Haiti. When the clinic ended, we got into our truck to head down the mountain. But before we could back up, a poor mountain farmer came to us with “a baby in his arms and tears in his eyes.” He explained that his wife had died in childbirth, and he had six kids to feed. He begged us to take the baby. I felt sorry for him, as tears ran down his face. I told him in Creole to “bring him to our orphanage on Monday.” (We had so many kids that I knew Bobby wouldn’t recognize another baby.) We squeezed him in, and we are so glad we did!
Jonas wants to be a mechanic. He is learning from the “best!” We are so proud of him!
