His name is actually “Georges.” He was named after Hurricane Georges that struck Haiti years ago. His mother had already made plans to “leave him at the hospital” when he was born because she had so many children. George came early, and we hurried to pick him up. We took him to our Love A Child Children’s Home, which was originally in Petionville. We later built our new Love A Child Children’s Home here in Fond Parisien, Haiti. George has a sister who was also raised by us, Stephanie.

When George was about twelve, one of our workers began teaching “little George” how to drive the front-end loader, the backhoe, and much more!! We never even realized he was driving this stuff!! After he graduated from Philo (high school) we sent him to the Caterpillar Training School. He finished his courses and is now working for Love A Child. He drives “anything with wheels,” even if he can’t see over the top of them! George is an excellent drum player!!! He is sweet, kind, respectful, and anyone would be proud to call him “their son!” We really love George, and we are so proud of him! Sherry
