At Love A Child, Bobby and Sherry realized some years ago that “helping people” should be an evolutionary process of first giving them relief, then helping them to recover, and then assisting them to develop toward self-sustainability. The highest form of helping people is to help them develop their own full potential for creating a sustainable improvement in their living conditions. Love A Child is doing that in its sustainability programs, which “help Haitians to help themselves.”  Many new jobs and businesses are being provided at the Marketplace, and new skills for sustainable living are being taught at the Agricultural Training Center. The successful new chicken co-op is already transforming lives. There will be more exciting news coming in February, too.
