Hope for Madamn Dieuline

To the poor people of Haiti, a child is “everything.” In fact, poor Haitians always want several children, in case one would die, no matter how poor they are. A Haitian Creole Proverb says, “Children are the wealth of the poor…”

Mdm Dieuline Dieumercy is 36 years old. She has lost four children and only has one living child, age 18. The other children died during miscarriages, at birth or, shortly after birth. She does not know the reasons for their deaths. She and her husband and daughter all live in Haiti’s poor area, in a house made of sticks and clay, with a tin roof. During the dry seasons, they must walk three hours to get water. This family grows a small garden to help sustain them. Each day it takes a miracle to survive for the poor in Haiti.

When we receive wonderful medications from MAP International, we share with other missionaries who have clinics that help and bless the poor. We recently donated some of these medications and vitamins to some of our missionary friends who also have clinics; one of these was Real Hope for Haiti.

Madamn Dieumercy received a consultation and was given prenatal vitamins that arrived just in time!  These were some of the wonderful medical items donated by our friends at Map International.  Madamn Dieumercy has hope and faith that these vitamins will help her baby grow strong. She really wants another child and hopes and prays that this baby will live. She wants to thank those who have donated the special vitamins because now, she has “hope.”

With a grateful heart, we want to thank MAP International. We are sure you may not have heard all the wonderful things that happen when you take the time and expense to send in all the medicine and vitamins you have donated to Love A Child and other organizations. Still, we pray that God will bless you abundantly so that you continue to help small clinics in Haiti and other countries and that you will be able to see some of the results of your labor.

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” – I Cor. 15:58

Thank you all so much, MAP INTERNATIONAL! WE ALL LOVE YOU!
