“How the Poor Survive in Haiti…”
This is one of the families that live on top of a “bald and lifeless, mountain” called “Mòn Deral.” There is no grass, no trees, and no gardens. The families make a living searching out large rocks and breaking them into smaller rocks to sell to trucks that come by. There is no water here, so when the trucks come by to buy the rocks, they hop on the back with a bucket and travel long distances to get one bucket of water. They have to “dig a hole” and put their fire down inside the hole because the wind comes across the mountain and puts their fire out. This is how the poor live, day after day. Pray for Haiti.
