This was really a tough one for me. The scripture in Romans 12:20 tells us “how to treat our enemies.” I have always favored the “King David” way of taking care of our enemies; after years of dodging gangs and roadblocks and not being able to go to a grocery store, or to the graduation of one of our orphan kids, I found myself hoping that someone would send me some “grenades for Christmas!!!”

But when Jesus came, He turned things upside down… He showed us a new way to handle our enemies, and “every one of us has enemies!” You don’t even have to do anything bad to have an enemy… jealousy can make “enemies!” Jesus said, “Therefore, if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirsts, give him a drink; for in so doing, thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:20

Sometimes, that might be hard to do but it is true. Have a great day.
