Haitians living in caves

Humanitarian relief – Haitians living in caves: 2-15-17 11:25 AM

“Suffering humanity…” Our Haitian workers took these pictures in the last two days. These families are near Jérémie, in southern Haiti, which is about a two-hour drive from Love A Child. They all lost their homes during the hurricane and then moved into these caves for shelter. There are two caves, but one is in terrible condition. You have to crawl on your hands and knees or stoop low and “squat walk” in through the entrance, as it is so low. I couldn’t bear looking at these families. We have been partnering with Joel and Yvonne Trimble by sending food, clothing, and water to them, but it is no longer enough. God expects more of us. We want to build “each family” a small block home, $4,200 each that includes materials, transportation, and labor. If you feel that God is touching your heart to sponsor a house for a family, or part of one, please call our office at 239-210-6107. God will bless you back, 100-fold according to Psalms 41:1-3. This is the most pathetic thing I have ever seen; it just “rips my heart out.” Sherry
