No! This is George and Stephanie, and they are brother and sister. Years ago, before we had our land and mission here in Fond Parisien, I used to go downtown to Port-au-Prince to a large pharmacy to buy my medicines for our Mobile Medical Clinics. The young lady behind the counter knew we were starting an orphanage. She knew a poor, pregnant mother, who could not afford another child. She was concerned about the baby she would have and “what she would do with that baby!” The lady at the pharmacy asked me to talk to the pregnant woman about “taking the baby.” I agreed.

“Hurricane George” was heading our way!! When I went to see her, the pregnant mother had “just given birth” and did not want another baby. I took the baby that day and named him “George!” About a year later, she was pregnant again and could not afford another child. That last baby was “Stephanie!”

Both George and Stephanie work for Love A Child! They are a great blessing, and we couldn’t make it without them!! We love “George and Stephanie!” Sherry
