It’s one of the worst feelings imaginable! We have all experienced those horrible days at the beginning of Covid… staying inside our home… not allowed to go visit anyone or go to a grocery store. It was difficult to go to a doctor, and all the hospitals were filled.
All the clothing stores were empty and no one was going anywhere. We were all “isolated” from each other. Huge churches that had held thousands were either closed or only allowed those to come “if they were 6 feet apart” and wore masks. It was a point of being separated, even when you were in the same room with someone… We were “isolated,” and many times, alone.
The disciples of Jesus were traveling with him in a boat, and then in a storm… a very dangerous storm. Mark 6:48… “They were ‘isolated’ from any help. But, then, Jesus came to them ‘walking on the water!'”
After the resurrection, while His disciples were afraid, they remembered him hanging on the cross, a crown of thorns on his head and blood dripping down the cross, his sides “hanging open,” and He was taking his last breath. All their dreams were gone because their Savior was on the cross. The disciples went into hiding, for fear. They were isolated from their Savior and afraid…
But on the first day of the week, He arose and came to his disciples and “stood in the midst of them,” saying “peace be still.” As they were talking to Him, he said, “Have you here any meat?”
In other words, “Let’s eat!” He ate fish and honeycombs with them! Today, you may feel alone, but you are not! You may feel “isolated” by sickness, or away on a job, or going through a trial. The “isolation” is not real, because Jesus has never left you and never will. He said, “Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” Matt. 28:20
You can “never be isolated from Jesus!” So, have a wonderful day!!!
