You may remember this young boy, his name is Jackson and he is one of our orphans. He was seven-years-old and suffering from severe Kwashiorkor malnutrition when we found him while conducting a Mobile Medical Clinic in Savaan Pit. This type of malnutrition is caused from not eating the right kinds of food. He had only eaten things like rice and flour from a very young age. His stomach, feet, legs and face were all horribly swollen. He was in terrible shape and would have died if he had stayed in the village. We brought him back to the orphanage, and look at him now; he is healthy and attends school. He loves playing with his brothers and sisters and is a joy to have in our family.
