This little guy is Jacque. His mother died and his father wasn’t able to care for him. His dad would leave Jacque and his sister alone for days while he looked for work. The two children were far too young to be left alone. Finally, their father gave the children to the Haitian version of the Department of Social Services because he could not take care of them. A representative from the department called Love A Child and asked if we would take these children. They have now been with us for several years. The Love A Child Children’s Home is Jacque’s home, and he loves living here with his huge family. Jacque is in school and is a quick learner.
