We first saw Jean Edwouard when we were with a group from Feed My Starving Children. We were in a very poor mud-hut village giving out food. We saw a little boy carry a heavy bucket of water on his head and then “cook food over an open fire.” I knew he was a “restavek slave child!” I went to his “extended family” and asked to bring him home with me. They said, “Yes!” We took Jean Edwouard home. He was a quiet, sweet little boy. When school started, the boys at that time all wanted “skinny leg pants!” Little Jean Edwouard offered to sew all the pants legs, and make them “skinny!” From the age of 6, he “was sewing everything!” He can take any type of upholstery and make it beautiful! (Look at the seats in the car!) He is working on a sofa now! He has so much talent! We are so proud of him! Please keep him in your prayers.
