When children are young, you never know how they will turn out in the future. In Haiti, even though we are about 8-9 miles from the border, there are still bad people around us.
When you have a lot of children, you always worry that the “bad people” will pull one of your good children onto the wrong path, but thank God, that won’t happen!
Jean Gardy is very unusual. When we began to give the older children a little allowance each month, they all gave it to “Jean Gardy.” Somehow, even in Haiti, he could make their money grow!
Today, he is the “business brain” at the Market. He, along with Dieuferly and Franceau (all orphanage brothers), are doing a “face-lift” on the Gwo Maché Mirak (Market). They saved their money, and are re-painting all the Marketplace and installing Christian music all through it!! We are so proud of them!
Thank you, partners, for helping us raise these children to serve the Lord and to be respectful!! We have “best partners” God could give us!
