He was one of our original orphanage children. He was always quiet and always made good grades.
Later, when he finished high school here in Haiti, he and his older brothers started a small restaurant business. The business grew…
The restaurant, called Fresh Food, is doing very well. Jean Gardy gave a job to Widelene, one of our older Love A Child girls from our orphanage. They grew up together!
Widelene is a professional cook and has learned to stand on her own two feet. She wants to be paid as a professional and not as his “sister!”
We hope and pray that Jean Gardy will get married someday, but as my grandma used to say, “Pickins are thin! Ha!” He is such a sweet guy, but very tight with his money! He will have to find a young lady “as tight as he is,” and that won’t be easy! But God can still work a miracle!!!!!
