Job Augustine was born in Covant, Haiti, high in the mountains. His mother died during childbirth and his father was not able to care for him. At first, he was taken to an orphanage that could not care for him; those in charge brought him to us.
When Job was about 9, he slipped in the shower and twisted his knee. He gradually grew worse over the years until we got him to a Haitian Doctor. He put Job’s leg in a cast and after some time, took the cast off; but his leg has never been the same.
Today, it is horribly swollen from his kneecap to his foot. He used to love soccer but cannot play anymore. Although we have his school on our property, we have to drive him to school each day or one of the “mothers” walks with him.
Job is so sweet and gentle and never asks for anything. We are going to do our best to get him into the D.R., and after that, pray that God will give him the best surgeons available.
We are asking everyone for prayer.
