Job… Surgery Today

Job is one of the sweetest teen-aged boys you will ever meet. He is one of our “Love A Child kids!”

He is in junior high at our Love A Child School. He hurt his knee a while back, and his leg from his knee down is horribly swollen, and he is in so much pain. We sent him to several specialist doctors here in Haiti, but all they did was make him worse.

We finally took him to a specialist in the Dominican Republic. We found out that Job has a “bone disease” and will be operated on right now. They will have to clean out the infection inside his bone and, as I understand it, replace that with good [bone material].

Jesse Ostrander has done an awesome job of finding the right surgeon. He is the one who finds the doctors and surgeons that our children need.

Last night Jesse took Job out for ice cream. We will be giving you an update later. This young man is “different!”

Please say a prayer for our sweet Job that the surgery will go well. Thank you, friends and partners.

Sherry

From Jesse:

Job and I went out for some late-night ice cream the night before his surgery. We are scheduled to go in early tomorrow. Love you guys.
