Those of you who know “five-year-old” Joshua won’t believe this photo!!! We just recently celebrated a Birthday Party for several of our Love A Child kids. While doing “Bible Quizzes” and other games, one of our older girls said, “Mom and Dad, you should see Joshua do his Praise Dance with the girls!!!”

This one particular dance is a “serious dance.” It requires a lot of “passion” and facial expressions, and with serious hand movements! Pastor Mark Ostrander was with us as we saw Joshua do his Praise Dance song with his older sisters! No one had taught him… He just watched and practiced on his own! Bobby and I, and Pastor Mark sat there with “our mouths wide open!” Again, no one “taught him” anything! He just watched, listened, and jumped in when the girls would let him!!! Ha!

Joshua was left abandoned at our front gate in September of 2017. He was malnourished, full of sores and starving! He cried “all the time!” The Department of Social Services gave him to us. You would think a child who had gone through all of this would never be “normal!” His only problem is that he “talks all the time!!!” Ha! He is always the smartest one in his class, but he cannot be still! The teachers always had a hard time “keeping him occupied!” He talks all the time, but talks so fast he stutters! The kids call him “si-son,” which means “pacifier,” because he is always making sucking noises with his mouth! Oh yes, did I tell you he wants to be a “Helicopter Pilot?” Or should I say a “Dancing Helicopter Pilot!” Ha! This kid is a mess!
