This is little Kenzy. He gets up with the “big kids,” and helps clean and disinfect (Haiti is facing another Covid outbreak, with a more dangerous virus. All the children get up early and start to clean before school, even the little ones).

Little Kenzy came to us when he was just a baby. His father died way before his mother died, leaving Kenzy an orphan. Someone brought him to our clinic. As Kenzy grew, we knew he had major health problems. He started with Malaria and skin infections but later realized he was “sick all the time.” He had no energy or strength. Our doctors discovered he had “Sickle Cell Anemia.” He is always very tired looking, or “not feeling good.” But, he does his best.

Kenzy is one of our favorites… he can always try to manage a little smile (or, half a smile), even when he is sick. You could say, “He gives it his best shot.” We surely love Kenzy.
