Children are a gift from God. I love watching the sea of kids flowing in the front gate every morning on their way to school. Dressed for success in their Love A Child uniforms, the yellow swarm floods the compound with joy, laughter, and life. I especially love to watch the tiny ones. And when I say tiny, I mean 2 and 3 year olds. Watching them navigate their way to their classrooms makes me laugh out loud.
Today I walked over to the school to check things out at about midday. I heard a choir of high pitched voices singing “Wheels on the Bus” in Creole. I had to interrupt, greet them, and give them some candy! Their little minds were working so hard. They deserved a break.
These kids are sweet, healthy, and learning. It does not take much here before it becomes abundantly clear why we are named, “Love A Child.”
Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from him. Psalms 127:3 (NLT)
