Poor little Stephano. When he was a baby, his mother was in prison here in Haiti. She was finally released, but could not take care of him. His father abandoned him and he was taken to the Social Services Department of Haiti.

I have always believed that Stephano’s real father was Dominican. We don’t know anything about his mother. Stephano was waiting for someone to take him and we did! Stephano is almost 11. He is in fourth grade and really does well in school! He is cheerful and always looking to help! And he has a smile, “a mile long!” He is never sad or moody… just smiling!!! Stephano is pleasant and hard-working!!!

Someday, when the time is right, we will tell him about his parents and we will tell him that “even though they abandoned him,” God never has, and we never will! Stephano is sweet and kind… we usually see him early in the morning, washing our cars!! We love him and he “loves his mom and dad!”
