Kindergarten Graduation at Love A Child

After living here in Haiti for “many years,” I have come to realize how much “Haitians love to dress up!” They especially love the children’s graduations from kindergarten! They buy used clothes and “look like a million dollars!” So today, was our “Love A Child Kindergarten Graduation!”

Zoey, the chunky, cute, little girl is ours, and Zachary, the little boy. When the kindergarten children came into our church, they did the “Graduation Dance Steps,” all the way up the aisle. Zachary, our youngest, began crying all the way up! He wanted no part in this “marching, dancing” stuff! There were songs, lots of speeches in French, and more dances. All the parents and relatives had their iPhones going, capturing every song and dance!

Zoey, our youngest, did a special dance but “Zachary” just wanted to go home!! Poor thing!

Even though the children were well-behaved and adorable, it was always fun to see the new “hair-do’s,” and fancy clothes the friends and adults bought (secondhand)! They all loved “the children,” their speeches, songs, and dances!”

The sweet Haitian people have been through so much stress for the last four years! This little sweet graduation brought everyone “great joy!” We want to thank Dieuferly Do’r (one of our grown children), for the wonderful photography! Thank you so much, friends and partners! Wish you could have been here.
