This beautiful young lady is Kristela, and at one time she was a tomboy and very mischievous. She climbed trees and loved playing with her brothers. She was born in the remote village of Savaan Pit, which is high in the mountains. We were conducting a Mobile Medical Clinic and Kristela’s “Voodoo practicing,” and very sick mother came for help. She was in bad shape. I gave her medicine, prayed for her and shared the love of Christ. Kristela’s mother left the clinic, and died twelve days later. Her husband wasn’t able to care for Kristela, so he brought her to our Children’s Home. When she arrived, Kristela was near death herself. She was sickly, malnourished and very weak. Her hair was red, brittle and falling out. Once Kristela felt love from her huge family, and received hot nourishing meals each day, she started feeling better. Today, she is healthy, strong and loves being with her big family. Thank you partners for saving another life in Haiti. God bless you. Sherry
