These are some of our Love A Child older children, who have a “dream” of attaining a college degree. Davidson, Stanley, Kidney, Kenson, Jonas, Jean Edward, Pistache, James, Bianca, Daniella, Sarah, Lomene, Fabienne, Widlene, Esther, Lovely, and Jean Gardy. Roselyne is in the Dominican Republic, taking care of Yonel after his hand surgery. Some have been in college in Haiti for one year, some for two years, and some for three years. There are a few who would have started college, but due to the gang violence in many areas, we had to have them come back home. It was discouraging to them all. You may recall that several had been kidnapped in December, but freed by a miracle.
The building you see in the photo was under construction for a certain project. But, Pastor Mark Ostrander, who was doing the construction with his Haitian crew, felt that we should change this building into a “College Study Center.” Some children may be able to go to college “online,” and others can begin to do research to find a college scholarship. Pastor Mark’s church donated laptops for those who had none. Thank you for your love and your prayers. We ask you to pray with us, that these wonderful older Love A Child children will be able to follow their dream!
