I just went to visit our Jesus Healing Center. I always try to go by the ER and visit the sick. I saw this elderly man on IVs… passing by, I noticed his toe with the string tied around it and I said, “Oh, he has diarrhea.” The nurse said, “Madamn Sherry, how did you know what was wrong with him?” I said, “By his big toe!” Mountain people always tie a string or a rubber band around their big toe to “stop diarrhea.” (Sometimes the rubber band is so tight it nearly cuts off their circulation!) These are just some of their superstitious beliefs. I’m sure he’s thankful for the medicine for parasites, the IVs, and everything else he was given. But, he’s still keeping the “string and not taking any chances!” Ha! Sherry
