We began working in the village of “Old LeTant” many years ago. It is a village of mud huts… the only “light” in the village is the beautiful Love A Child Church and Christian School built by some of our partners, David and Angie George, and their partners. Each month we give a box of food to each family. This food is donated by Feed My Starving Children and our wonderful partners “sponsor” the food to come in from the States.

Recently, you may have heard on the news about the problems here in Haiti. Last month there were riots and angry mobs; angry at the government. Many of our food containers were held up in Customs for over a month. This meant that the food containers “sitting in Haitian Customs” were costing more money each day. Anytime there are riots or problems everything “closes down” until the problems stop… This caused a lot of severe problems due to children and their families needing this food! We are thankful that the containers have begun to be released… Just look at these long lines of mothers and their children.
