I had asked you to pray for Farmer John, who has the butcher shop inside Gwo Maché Mirak (Grand Miracle Market) next door and who is also a missionary. He also lives here at Love A Child. He went to deliver meat the other day and cannot get home because of all the roadblocks and riots. He just e-mailed me this message below. I asked him if I could share this with you so that you can pray and see the conditions of the country. Please pray for John and Haiti. We love him and his family. (Please note that John’s wife and children are in North Dakota during this time of trouble.) Bobby and Sherry
E-mail from John Draxton:
“Wow! This is nuts. We made it on back roads to a mission. They say the road is 100% blocked with guns ahead of us. 6 days and not 1 car has passed here. We can’t go ahead. Then some gang guys came to the gate with guns telling us we needed to pay for passing. We felt so bad for this mission that we put in danger. We called the helicopter to get us immediately. But then the gang left and said they will wait for us to come out. We have a scheduled helicopter tomorrow [to land at your facility]. Please don’t shoot at me when we land. I’ve been through enough of that now!
Farmer John”
