Jackson is here in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The doctors are trying to determine why his body is not getting rid of this infection. The peritoneal dialysis has not been as effective as it was in the past. So, they are going to stop peritoneal dialysis so that his body can heal. But he still needs dialysis in order to live. So, the doctors will temporarily put Jackson on hemodialysis. This plan requires the removal of the peritoneal catheter and the installation of a new catheter for the blood dialysis.
But in the meantime, his spirits are high. Jackson is busy living life. He went shopping earlier with Kim and Phanise, the dialysis nurse. Kim was pushing his wheelchair while Jackson pushed the cart. We are at the apartment now, and he is cooking a good meal for himself.
Please pray for Jackson!
