Sherry and I are in Florida now. We had to return due to Sherry’s health issues. Sherry has a battle ahead of her for the next 18 months, doing important medical procedures. Please pray for her. We are praying for a total healing. To look at Sherry, you would never know anything is wrong with her. She is doing good. Sherry is very personal and private. I wish I could share more with you, but I can’t. As time goes by, maybe I can. Sitting in the office of a “specialist” today, we both said to each other… “We are in a great battle together. We will make it with the Lord’s help and the prayers of our partners!”

We are running Love A Child now from America, along with Sandra, Rad, and “the best staff in the world!” We will continue fundraising, keeping the vision of the children, missions, and the work of Haiti before everyone. We have our Love A Child Board Meeting tomorrow. Sherry and I will be there via Zoom.

Jesse and Kim Ostrander have moved to Haiti and have begun running the daily operations and making the decisions there. They are doing a great job! Jesse has been going to Haiti with his dad, Mark Ostrander, since he was 17 years old, helping to build our many projects there! Kim was on her first missions trip there. Jesse knew then he would marry her! We are in a transition time now, helping all we can. Sherry and I love Jesse and Kim very much, along with the Haitian people. Jesse and Kim are very intelligent and are well able to “make Love A Child do more than ever” for the precious Haitian people.

Sherry and I have lived in Haiti for 35 years. It has been a joy, not a sacrifice! The children will steal your hearts! We miss them all very much. Our heart aches for them. 

Actually, two years ago, we made plans with Jesse and Kim for them to “move to Haiti when their children were in college,” which would be now. Through it all, the Lord has been good, and all our plans have stayed on track. We didn’t expect Sherry’s health issues, but the Lord has everything under control. We are trusting in Him. Your prayers for us now would mean “more than anything else in the world.” Thank you for being our friend, our confident, and our “partner” feeding, helping, and blessing the poor in Haiti. Love is something you do!

We love you! In about 45 days, we will be visiting Southern Haiti for about four days to see the work going on there. When possible, Sherry and I will travel back to Love A Child to visit the children and staff who we miss dearly.
