Today, with hearts full of joy, we announce that 569 families living behind the dike in Petit-Goâve were overjoyed to welcome the Love A Child team, who brought much-needed food to these families in this village, many of whom lost everything they owned during the passage of Hurricane Melissa through the commune.

From the very day the hurricane passed, the Love A Child team was already on the ground helping. And today, Love A Child — together with all its friends and partners — continues to bring vital support to the most affected families in this village.

People here have been left with almost nothing: no food, no clothing, no hygiene supplies. They are deeply, deeply grateful for the beautiful work that Love A Child is doing throughout the South.

On behalf of these 569 families and the entire community of Petit-Goâve, we say a huge THANK YOU to Love A Child, to every staff member, every volunteer, every donor, and every partner who continues to give, to care, and to stand with the people of Haiti in their darkest hours.
