The gangs are still growing in power and taking over towns and communities. On Thursday, the gangs attacked, “shooting, killing, and kidnapping” in “Bassin-Bleu.” It is a beautiful town in northwest Haiti, once known as one of the safest regions in Haiti. The town is completely under siege by armed men.

The town of Ganthier, just 8 miles from us, was taken over by the gangs two years ago. 2,000 families had to flee for their lives, leaving everything behind; the people have never returned. The town is controlled by the gangs to this very day. Our hearts are broken into pieces. The town of Ganthier was the “government seat” for this whole area. Yet, the Haitian government has never even tried once to take the town back.

We are praying that some country or someone will come and take Haiti back from the gangs. They control the roads; life here is dangerous. Still, it seems like no one cares about Haiti. The gangs do not represent the Haitian people, who are sweet and hard working… the children “will steal your heart!”

Sherry and I are here living in our orphan’s home with the children. The Jesus Healing Center, Birthing Center, Malnutrition Center, and our other projects here on the land are open, operating, blessing the poor, and sharing the love of God with the Haitian people.

We are the boots on the ground, hands on the plow. Thank you for your prayers and support, which we need more than we have ever needed before. We are “claiming Haiti for Christ!!”
