Let’s Go to Church!

Bobby and I took these pictures but most of the children had already gone to “get their seats!” Our church is always full, with people standing! Church is a big day for the Haitian people and children! Girls have to get their “do’s” lookin’ good, church clothes are pressed, and those who have bibles, carefully clutch them under their arm and head for church!

This is the day, when despite all the problems, all the bad news about gangs killing people, robbing the poor, kicking them out of their homes, and kidnapping others… despite all this, “Sunday is a time to sing, praise the Lord, dance to a little church music, hear a good message, give tithes, and meet friends!” Church is so important to them that it’s “better to close the border between Haiti and the D.R.,” than to close church doors!

Anytime our Love A Child kids get new clothes, they can’t wait to wear them to church! Special thanks to those who sent in new church clothes! Please keep on sending boys dress pants, ages 10 to 18, because they are “growing like weeds!”

This morning, be sure to thank the Lord, that you can go to church in safety, unlike many Haitians who may be killed by gangs, as the Haitian Christians make their way to the “Lord’s house,” on foot, on “tap-tap,” by car, by mule, anyway they can! This is their “Spiritual Gas Station,” which will keep them until Sunday comes again! Have a blessed day.
