Bianca is staying in Port-au-Prince at one of two apartments we have rented for the older kids to go to college. She was going to study to become a surgeon, but now she wants to study psychology. It has been hard to convince our 23 older children to remain in college in Port-au-Prince due to gangs, but all the Haitian children, young, old, and those in preschool in Port-au-Prince are all going to school. Life goes on in Haiti!

In the middle of the gang violence, streets being blocked, people being killed every day, dead bodies in the streets in many places, “life goes on in Haiti.” Their only hope in life is that “help will come to Haiti,” and they need to stay “ahead” with their education! They are all waiting “for help to come to Haiti,” so they are preparing for their future, now! That’s what faith is… believing a change will come.
