You may remember Lionel. He is one of our children living at the Love A Child Children’s Home in Fond Parisien, Haiti. The police found Lionel with a terribly burned hand on the streets. He was crying, so pitiful and in such pain. He was taken to the Department of Social Services and was later brought to Love A Child. We later found out that Lionel’s father had held his hand in a pot of boiling water to teach him a lesson because Lionel had taken a handful of rice from the pot. Lionel was welcomed into the Love A Child family, and he has received the needed medical care for his severely burned hand. His hand still needs work, but it is so much better than when he first arrived. Once in the Love A Child family, Lionel was given three hot nourishing meals each day and lots of love. Now, he is going to school, learning to read and write, and he loves playing with his brothers and sisters. Thank you, partners, for changing Lionel’s life. Bobby and Sherry
