We can remember the day we got a phone call from our Haitian attorney. An angry father had held his son’s hand in boiling water for something the child did or didn’t do. After the “huge burn from boiling water,” he then threw his small son out on the street in Port-au-Prince. The police found the boy and called our attorney (for some reason) and he explained the horror the child went through. He called us and asked us to take him in.

Since then, Lionel has made many trips to Haitian doctors but his hand grew worse. His fingers were “melted together!” We had lost hope for Lionel until we took him to the Dominican Republic to a specialist in “ hand surgery.” They first had to separate his fingers and take skin from his stomach to make new fingers!

He has to return shortly for another check-up and he has to wear his glove! His big dream is to be a mechanic! Looks like God’s gonna make that happen… and God uses “angels” like you! Thank you so much!
