Kristela is growing up and doing a great job! She was born in the mountains of Savaan Pit, Haiti. When I had a Mobile Clinic, her mother was pregnant with Kristela. Her mother was involved in Voodoo, and also her grandmother and great-grandmother! You would think that this “Voodoo spirit” would have been passed down from generation to generation, but it broke when it came to Kristela.

Her mother got saved right before she died and Kristela’s father brought her to us. Today she is still in school and in her extra time, she teaches praise dances to all our older girls. Kristela is so sweet and gets her feelings hurt easily if you scold her. She really loves the Lord and she loves all her brothers and sisters!!! She wants to be a “massage therapist,” but we will see. She is very good with the children and is happy working with them and teaching them.

Kristela has turned into a beautiful, sweet young lady and we love her so much (of course, she still has a lot of “Kristela” in her, but we will work it out!) Ha! We love Kristela!
