Little Daniello is such a sweet boy but has had a tough time in school. It is very difficult for him to sit in school and learn anything, but he is doing “better.”
We found him during a Mobile Clinic in the village of Old Letant. His mother had died, his father deserted him, and someone had dropped him off and abandoned him in this village. The people of the village tried to care for him but all of them were having their own struggles for food. That’s when we found him and took him in.
I knew that he had emotional problems but did not realize this until I visited his schoolroom one day and found that the teacher had “tied him a chair,” because he kept leaving. We had some counseling for him and gradually, he learned to sit in school.
He is a “one-on-one” child and does not do well in groups, but, he is so, so sweet and when he works, he works hard. His real name is Daniel but his nickname is Daniello. One thing for sure, he keeps his closet clean and always has a smile on his face.
Many of our children, no matter what age, have either a major illness or some emotional problems, but they are still “our children,” and we will do anything it takes to love them through their problems and keep them close to the Lord. We believe everyone was “hand-picked” by God! We love em’ all!
